Job Description:
The Social Science Department invites applications for a Full-Time, Tenure-Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Beginning August 15, 2008. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology by the time of appointment.
Marygrove College is a private Catholic liberal arts college, sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, located in Detroit, Michigan. We are looking for an energetic colleague who is interested in applying scholarly knowledge in the local community to facilitate our Urban Leadership focus; someone who is committed to classroom teaching and student advising, who will participate enthusiastically in departmental activities and programs, who is comfortable working with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds, and who is an active scholar.
Someone who is interested in making connections between the College and the local community or participating in other ways in Urban Leadership is of particular interest.
