SUMMARY
The MAT Financial Services Representative must have general knowledge of the Student Receivables areas of the Financial Services department, with its focus on providing outstanding customer service and support to the MAT program for student billing, account, and receivable activities. This individual will also assist in coordinating the daily operations of the Business Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Work closely with the Marygrove MAT recruitment team
- Process payment agreements for students and complete TMS enrollment
- Answer student inquiries regarding billing, tuition charges, general financial aid inquiries, and payment options
- Analyze student account activity and monitor past-due balances.
- Responsible for student billing accuracy
- Performs Partner billing reconciliations.
- Resolves student account problems by communicating regularly with Financial Aid, Registrar, MAT and Continuing Education.
- Prepare and issue refund checks.
- Service students at the cashier station as needed.
- Delegate tasks to and supervise student workers.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Datatel knowledge preferred.
- Experience in a professional business environment.
- Good math and computer skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
- Solid oral and written communication skills; strong reasoning and analytical skills.
- Professional person who upholds the values and mission of the institution.
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills.
- Willingness to work extended evening hours to support student needs.
