Job Details:

Registered Nurse
The Clinical Education Specialist assumes responsibility for all activities related to assessment, coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to patient care staff and collaborates with other educators to provide clinical education programs. The Specialist supports the development of the bedside care provider and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice and is instrumental in creating a professional nursing climate.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor`s degree in healthcare-related discipline.
Experience: 1-5 years education/training experience. 3 years of active patient care delivery in the immediate past or active clinical instruction in the immediate past.
Licensure: Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.
Certifications: Certified or progress toward certification in a specialty related to responsibilities (if available in discipline) preferred. American Heart Association BLS provider. If ACLS/PALS/NRP is required for area of responsibility, instructor certification is expected within two years of accepting position.
Other: Demonstrated skill in human relations and written, verbal, and electronic communication. Proven skill in oral presentation and facilitation. Proven ability to organize and multi-task to meet project deadlines. Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage. Knoweledge of equipment/technology used in delivery of patient care. Performs responsibilities in the spirit of the Mercy Mission and Chairsm. Makes decisions and determines actions using the Mercy Values as a guide.
