Job Description
Be a part of a fast-paced team at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County! As a Medical Transcriptionist under the supervision of the director is a specialist in medical language who interprets and transcribes dictation by physicians regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, ect., for the purpose of documenting patient care and facilitating delivery of health care services.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Physiology and typing. Some transcription experience in an acute care facility preferred, but not required. Must have the ability to understand diverse accents, dialects, and varying dictation styles. Must have the ability to operate designated computers, dictation and transcription equipment. Excellent concentration and listening skills, manual dexterity and operate keyboard and foot controls. Must type 60wpm.
