Job Description
Be a part of a fast-paced team at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County! As a Histology Tech you will cut, prepare; and stain surgical specimens; prepare and perform special stains; prepare and stain body fluids for cytological exam; and assist the pathologist in a technical capacity to provide diagnostic information.
Must possess a high school education with course work in biology and chemistry. One year supervised training in an AMA approved histopathology laboratory or school of histopathology. Successful completion of nationally recognized certification exam as HT, HTL, or MT. Certification eligible individuals may be employed, but must become certified within one year of hire date. Both oral and written communication skills are required.
