Process/Quality Engineer (Pipeline)

Description:
The Process/Quality Engineering Pipeline position has been created to provide a training ground for new hire process engineers within Michelin. Candidates that are hired into this group will be assigned to a plant, but will spend at least 6 weeks in training in Greenville. The duration of the training will depend on the individual needs of the candidate as well as the need within the manufacturing facility. During the training, the candidates will receive classroom instruction, exposure to process engineering "experts" within the Central Process Engineering group, and real world experience through project assignments and/or hands-on tire building.
Once training is complete, the process engineer will be assigned to their initial position.
Responsibilities will include:
* Responding to day-to-day quality issues
* Industrializing new products
* Troubleshooting existing processes
* Developing new processes on existing equipment
* Completing projects with a mid- to long-term focus.
Requirements of the job include:
* BS degree in a technical field, preferably mechanical or chemical engineering
* Willingness to travel for training
* Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications
* Self-motivated, hands-on attitude and willingness to work in manufacturing environment
