Tire Performance Engineer
Job Location: Greenville, SC

Description:
Initially this person will lead Michelin Research and Development efforts on testing within the Road Hazard team. Efforts will include tire and sample testing to better understand field failure mechanisms, and development of analytical test methods to allow assessment of performance of current and future tire designs. With time, the function may evolve to include tire/vehicle modeling and simulation of road hazards, other endurance parameters, or other aspects of tire performance. Some support of OE development activities is anticipated.
Qualifications:
-BSME degree is required, MSME is preferred
-Ability to work with operators and test engineers in definition, development and execution of new tire testing procedures and analysis.
-Basic statistical capability, including linear and non-linear regression is desirable
-Experience with testing procedures and test machinery is advantageous
-Experience applying numerical simulation, including FEA, is useful
-French language skill is a plus
