Tire Design Analyst
Job Location: Greenville, SC

Full Time
Description
The Tire Design Analyst performs routine analysis work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
The principal duties include, but are not limited to:
- Increase the understanding of mechanical operation of the tire by calculation or experimentation. Use these elements for predicting the mechanical behavior of a future tire
- Understand (be able to explain) the defined problem and the desired outcomes/results
- Document analysis results
- Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to optimize tire and mold profile design (execution of standard analysis)
- Analyze and interpret FEA and experimental results
- Propose tire model evolutions in conjunction with the tire design project engineers.
Requirements:
Education:
MS in Mechanical Engineering or Physics is preferred, or BS in Mechanical Engineering or Physics is required with 3 years simulation experience.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) academic focus or experience is highly desired.
Experience:
Graduate school work involving FEA or several years of design engineering work experience using FEA is desired.
Languages:
Fluency in English required. French language skill is a plus.
