Electrical Engineer

Description Statement of Function:
Job Description:
• Has the mission to support writing functional specifications, developing technical specifications, detailed electrical design and automation programming and accomplish material handling and other design Tire Verification projects.
• Develop system layouts and technical specifications to achieve function requirements to central engineering standards
• Provide project management support for new machines, systems, or improvement modifications.
• Start-up assistance and qualification/acceptance support for new machines/systems.
• Assurance of complete and current technical documentation.
• Develop training material for new and existing technology and provide training to factory personnel.
• Provide formal documentation to support the above activities and maintain proper document management consistent with Quality System.
• Provide estimates for all tangible phases of an addition, replacement or upgrade of process equipment.
• Provide high level maintenance support and training – assistance in technical problem solving / analysis of existing equipment.
• Interface with internal company support groups and outside contactors to accomplish objectives.
• When needed, provide engineering contractor management and direction to efficiently flex the available engineering available to the factory.
• Provide start to finish management of major capital projects.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of time required for TUS/BE assigned position
• Employee will be responsible for multi-million dollar projects that enable the factory to meet its market, productivity, and/or quality goals.
Requirements :
• BSEE or equivalent
• Good planning and communication skills
• Versed in electrical design and programming software; AutoCAD, RSLogix, etc…
• Strong project management skills - Prefer material handling and industrial process experience.
• Languages: Any foreign language a plus, but not required
• Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial experience in measurement and testing equipment.
