Industrial Engineer
Job Location: Lexington, SC

Statement of Function:
Manage the pursuit of continuous improvement in productivity and other cost reductions in areas that range from specific work posts to corporate systems.
Responsibilities
• Regularly study, analyze, present and implement agreed upon recommendations.
• Interface regularly with other managers as required to establish priorities for work to be accomplished.
• Ensure product quality is maintained or improved as a result of continuous improvement activities.
• Work with plant engineers to justify and implement capital expenditure projects.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization (operators to plant manager)
• Set and achieve goals with minimum supervision.
• Assume responsibility for IE functions as they relate to a system or area within a facility.
• Assume responsibility for IE functions as they relate to a specific project or projects within a facility.
• Develop and utilize classical I.E. techniques, administrative responsibilities, and project facilitation.
• Specific IE functions/techniques may include:
• Facility manpower (headcount) planning
• Productivity planning with accompanying future strategies for improvement
• Machine capacity analysis and strategies for improvement
• Process effectiveness analysis and strategies for improvement
• Development, implementation, and follow-up of various management information indicators
• Expansion needs analysis
• Material flow analysis
• Develop and maintain engineered time standards
• Requirements:
• BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical major
• Industrial or manufacturing related engineering experience is required. Equivalent Internship, Co-Op or project experience is acceptable.
• Demonstrated leadership experience; military experience a plus, junior military officer (JMO) experience a plus.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and project management ability
• Strong skills in written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision
• Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning skills
