Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Objective/Goal:
Engineering project leader for production capital investments.
Responsibilities:
Application of a systematic project approach.
Overall technical performance, cost, and timeline.
List of Principal Activities:
• Supervise engineering project teams.
• Issue technical descriptions, specifications, layouts, general arrangements, guide drawings.
• Produce estimates and schedules.
• Provide directions, specifications, and process related information for the definition, design and construction of the building and utilities.
• Coordinate all interactions with plant departments in application of the Engineering Quality Plan.
• Provide training support for Operation & Maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate site works (demolition, construction, equipment installation, etc.) in relation with operation.
• Coordinate commissioning and start-up.
• Approve and monitor expenses.
• Maintain and consolidate the overall time line.
• Comply with policies, documents, procedures, and work instructions of both the quality and environmental management systems, and performs these responsibilities in a safe manner.
Education / Experience:
• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• Experience with project management in petrochemical industry is necessary.
• Experience managing large projects (>$5M) involving revamping of process equipment in industrial environment.
• Several years of project management experience, specifically mechanical design/engineering in an industrial plant setting.
• Experience in engineering group management and/or process engineering management is a plus.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
