Objective/Goal:
Steer the activity of an Information Systems department, centered around designing, building, integrating, maintaining and providing information system support solutions for a functional domain of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Guarantee that solutions are delivered respecting the requirements agreed upon with customers as well as EA (Enterprise Architecture) prescriptions and technical standards
- Respect information system governance rules
- Define with customers, strategic aspects concerning the development of the Information Systems
- Define and respect Department budgets
- In liaison with local Human Relations correspondents, manage Department staff
Main Activities:
Supplying IS solutions:
- Design and development of information system solutions in compliance with Enterprise Architecture rules
- Selection and integration of commercially available components or software
- Deployment of information systems
- Corrective maintenance for applications
- Participation in functional, application and technical architecture studies
- Cross-departmental studies (projects, organization)
- Interfaces between local and global solution development teams
Customer relations management:
- Recognize customer requirements
- Portfolio management of new projects and maintenance
- Define strategic orientations and validate project plans
- Organization of upgrade portfolios for presentation to decision-making structures
- Provide advice to business entities, managers, and analysts on the state-of-the-art in the market, at Michelin, and in the profession
Management:
- Detailed team activity plan
- Staff team management
- Liaison with the Human Relations department
- Operational support for the team
- Staff objectives and appraisals in compliance with the expectations and results of business projects
- Liaison with partners and suppliers
- Construction and monitoring of activity, progress, and training plans
- Elaboration and monitoring of Department budget
- Responsible for the performance against the Information Services balanced scorecard (day-to-day operations and projects) for the Department
- Quality systems and Quality Assurance Plans are applied as defined by the management
- Cross management and multi-departmental management studies
- Participation in the elaboration of the global Information Systems development strategy
Education level:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor Degree in IS/IT or related discipline
Professional path:
- At least 15 years of experience leading Information Systems projects or managing Information Systems teams.
