Job Summary

Michelin is the worldwide leader in tires with a commercial presence in over 170 countries.

 

The Sales and Development Manager is part of the sales force on the Agricultural team. Potential candidates will utilize their exceptional communication skills / relationship building to sell and service Agricultural tires dealers as well as end users in their territory. Upon successful completion of a 10-week training program in Greenville, SC, candidates will become part of the national sales force. This position requires heavy travel within the assigned geographic territory. By joining the Michelin team, your career opportunities for the future will be varied. Responsibilities:
Candidate is responsible for selling, promoting, training, and managing all business activities of the distribution channel within the assigned strategic area. The goal is to meet sales objectives and increase revenue while driving positive management results. This individual will be responsible for executing the pull strategy, developing a premium market with the Michelin brand and understanding the needs of the end users.


- Be the Michelin representative for the dealer and end user accounts in an assigned geographic territory.

- Implement commercial policy and accountable for business results of a geographic territory.

- Assist customers in lowering their operating costs through tire sales, analyzing alignment/wear problems, performing cost-per-mile analysis, and investigating mechanical issues.

- Form effective, consultative partnerships with assigned accounts that result in increased sales of Michelin products.

Qualifications
Requirements:

1: BA or BS degree, preferably in Agricultural Engineering, Economics or Mechanics

2: Agricultural equipment and industry knowledge / experience and demonstrated selling skills. Account Management experience required.

3: Knowledge of accounting, marketing, and administration as well as good organizational skills.

4: Problem-solving skills; ability to find answers for technical and non-technical issues or questions immediately.

5: Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of internal and customer organizations.

6: Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.

7: Must be goal-oriented, persuasive, and work well both independently and as part of a team

8: Strong relationship building skills are required.

Note: Frequent travel is required


Competencies

- Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Strong communication skills; oral and written

- Must be able to work autonomously

- Prior experience in the sale of agricultural related products desirable
