Personnel Aide / Bargaining Unit 217 (Commissioner's Plan)
Job Location: Red Wing, MN
Job Type: Full-Time Unlimited
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to the classified transactions and functions, which initiate placement on payroll and movement within the system for campuses in Red Wing and Winona. This position serves as the Designated Department Insurance Representative (DDIR).
Position Qualifications:
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the college personnel systems – SCUPPS and SEMA4
- Knowledge and understanding of labor contracts, MN Statutes, rules and regulations, administrative procedures, MnSCU system policies and procedures, and college procedures and policies
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with customers
- Strong computer software skills in a Microsoft environment are essential; especially spreadsheets and word processing programs, i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills
- The knowledge of personnel management and human resources concepts are important
- Strong customer service skills required
- Sensitivity, diplomacy and confidentiality are mandatory in this position.
- Ability to travel between campuses and to state and regional meetings as required
- In providing service to customers the ability to work with a diverse population of students and employees
- Three-5 years of related experience for initial hire (preferred: related post-secondary education with 2-3 years related work experience)
