Montgomery College's Workforce Development & Continuing Education (WDCE) division seeks adjunct faculty to teach noncredit computer courses during the evenings and Saturdays for the Information Technology Institute in Summer 2009. WD&CE is Montgomery College’s noncredit professional training division with 15,000 students registering for classes last year.
The Information Technology Institute is seeking part-time faculty to teach the following courses in Computer Technology:
Programming.NET Level I and II
C#
Course Description for Programming.NET Level I and II:
The Visual Studio 2008 Integrated Development Environment (IDE) will be used as the programming development tool. Each topic will be presented in VB.NET language with exposure to C#.NET. Topics covered are forms, controls, language syntax, data types, scope and lifetime, classes, objects, methods events, properties, inheritance.
Course Description for C#:
This course is an overview of the C# programming languages with hands-on development of C# programs using Microsoft Visual Studio.NET environment. Topics include an overview of the C# language, the elements of a C# program, compiling, debugging, and running C# programs; developing C# programs, C# programming basics, and C# control structures.
Qualifications:
All adjunct faculty positions require appropriate degree(s), industry certification(s), and professional teaching experience. You will be asked to conduct a short teaching demonstration.
