Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing leadership for all employees on their respective team or shift. Accountability for production teams productivity results and quality to meet customer expectations and plant objectives. Responsible for the safety and performance reviews of all employees. Ensure employees operate within plant policies and SOP's

Key Responsibilities:
1. To hire, develop, train and provide career information for all employees in their team or respective shifts.
2. To provide leadership that results in maximum manufacturing efficiency and productivity to meet and/or exceed established production standards estimate and plant objectives.
3. To ensure all employees perform their duties and responsibilities within established safety policies, procedures and best practices.
4. To provide input and operate within established plant budgets by controlling cost such as overtime, roller care, materials, consumables and production supplies.
5. Promote, understand and enforce all SOP's, SPC, QS1, Work Instructions, plant policies, and maintain required records.
6. To promote Quality commitment by reducing errors, reops and meet customer quality expectations. Deviations from customer or quality standards will require written documentation to the docket. Respond to COQ/Customer Complaints within stated time frame.
7. Maintain good communication at all levels of the organization, with employees and Internal/External Customers. Establish regular meetings, which facilitate employee involvement and input for continuous productivity improvements i.e., pre production meetings, order repeat sheets, and/or post problem meetings.
8. Manage all employees on your respective team or shift as it pertains to promotions, wage recommendations, performance reviews, disciplinary action and recommending termination. Maintain appropriate time/Attendance and performance records.
9. To schedule all employees on their respective team or shift to achieve maximum production on their related equipment and/or assigned responsibilities to achieve facilitates all make-ready, quality and goals/production objectives, or specialty teams. Maintain appropriate checks/measures i.e. checklists, logs, samples, etc. to demonstrate performance.
10. Provide direction on the shop floor takes priority over any other activity i.e., meetings.
11. Maintain good communications with all members of the leadership group and respective team members at all levels of the organization.
12. Practice and promote the basic principles - lead by example.
13. Be a resource to all employees by providing information, tools and assistance to improve working conditions and productivity.
14. Cooperate with all support groups and communicate as required with external vendors to improve materials, process, and new features or developments.
15. Maintain and upgrade skills to meet changing job requirements.
16. Special projects as assigned by VP of Ops.

Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or combination of education and work experience desired. Work experience and/or completion of educational courses in management preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing and printing equipment, processes as related to manufacturing. Good understanding of intelligent imaging, direct mail and printing equipment. Good leadership skills.
