PURPOSE:

To assist in creating and evaluating vector art for imprinting onto a variety of promotional items based on vendor and departments specifications. This internship is reviewed on a semester by semester basis to determine if 4imprint has the work load to continue the internship on through the following semester.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Creating electronic images suitable for the imprinting of promotional items, as per instructions provided by our Customer Service Department. Create artwork as needed by other departments. This process includes:
• Create clean vector images from faxes, bitmapped images provided to us by the customer in a number of different electronic files.
• Typesetting and providing proofs for customers orders
• Create various line illustrations from photos & items
• Convert various file types into images usable in the creation of vector based art
• Alter existing images / layouts so they are able to be imprinted on a variety of other items

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree in Graphic Arts
• Demonstrated knowledge of Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator and Photo Shop
• Basic working knowledge of all production art related skills and terminology
• Knowledge of imprinting methods and experience in promotional products industry a plus
