Job Description / Responsibilities:
Successful Candidates Will Provide Engineering Expertise In The Areas Of Structural And Geotechnical Engineering, Participate In The Development Of Company And Industry Standards, And Assist Facilities In Meeting Safety, Environmental, Operational Cost, And Capital Improvement Objectives.
Capital Project Support Will Include Design Specification Development And Oversight Of Contractors' Work Throughout Project Execution.
Salary:
An Excellent Working Environment With Opportunities For Career Advancement And A Competitive Compensation And Benefits Package. A 10 Year Person Typically Falls Into The $100K To $110 Range (No Bonus But Really Good Fringe). A 20 Year Person Will Be In The $120 To $130 Range.
Approximately 25 To 35 % Travel Is Routine (Some International). Occasionally, The Company May Offer International Assignment (Family Status) To A Fairly Civilized City / Country.
The Company Has An Excellent Track Record Regarding Safety Of Its Employees And Their Families.
MUST HAVES:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is Required; Master's or PhD's Preferred.
- Applicants Must Have At Least 5 - 10 Years Of Recent Relevant Experience and 10 - 15 Years Left In Career
- US Citizenship or US Permanet Resident Card
Areas Of Technical Expertise Should Include:
- Concrete/Steel/Timber Structures, Blast Resistant Design, Earthquake Analysis, Equipment/Tank/ Machine Foundations, Earthwork, And Sewer/Drainage Systems. Some Field Construction Experience Is A Prerequisite.
- Quality Assurance Work Overviewing Contractor Engineering Firm Performance And Results. Heavy Structural Involvement. STAD RESA STRUDL
- Industry Backgrounds Can Be From Oil And Gas, Oil Refining Or Petrochemical Or Other Chemical Process Industry, Pulp, Paper Or Maybe Electric Power.
- Roads, Bridges, Purely Geotechnical (Or More Than 40% Geotechnical Content), Environmental Or Municipal Work Is A Knockout.
- It Is Extremely Unlikely The Company Will Be Interested In Someone With More Than 16 Years Relevant Civil / Structural Experience After The BS Degree Or Less Than 5 Years.
- Much Of The Work Involves Changes To Existing Plants And New Grass Roots (Greenfield) Plants Sites.
We Also Need Engineering Degreed Project Controls (Cost Or Scheduling Or Estimating) Persons And/Or Contract Managers (Must Have Experience With Reimbursable Cost Contracts) Who Generally Fit Into This Specification's Requirement Of Industry / Project Types. Experience May Range From 7 Or 8 Years To 25 Years For These Types. Some Of These Positions Are In Houston TX.

- College Bachelors Degree In Civil Engineering
