ASSIGNMENT:
Project Planning and Systems - Execution Planning
ROLES
The Execution Planning Advisor (EPA) Works with Project Assigned Personnel to Develop the Execution Plans for Capital Projects and Provides Functional Oversight to Ensure that the Project is Appropriately Controlled During the Execution of those Plans. The Role Requires a Seasoned and Experienced Project Professional who can Mentor and Train Less Experienced Personnel Assigned to the Project Planning and Systems Function and to Specific Projects. The EPA Will Typically be Involved in the Execution Planning of One or More Major Capital Projects (>1000 M$) and may be Supporting and Monitoring Several Such Projects in The Execution Phase. During the Project Execution Phase, the EPA works with Ongoing Capital Projects to Support and Validate the Use of Best Practices in Project Management and Controls. This Role will be Filled Both Through Informal Visits and through Formal Participation on Independent Project Reviews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop Project Execution Plans, Including Contracting Strategy, Organization Plans, Key Issues, Interface Management, Project Schedules and Cost Estimates, and Project Controls Processes;
Facilitate and/or Participate in Independent Project Reviews (IPRs);
Participate as Subject Matter Expert (SME) For Various Project Activity as Follow-Up to IPR's and Other Project Execution Activity;
Travel to Company Site Teams around the world to Provide Expert Guidance and Advice;
Provide Training in Upstream Project Management, both in Houston and at Overseas Locations;
Mentor Project Management Advisors and Project Planning & Controls Managers in Project Execution Planning.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The Candidate Must Have Leadership and Personnel Management Skills, and Strong Interpersonal Skills to Interact Effectively with a Variety of Stakeholders including Operations, Co-Venturers and Host Government Representatives.
The Candidate Must Be An Effective Teacher and Mentor, Able To Share Knowledge And Experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
BS In Engineering Required
5-20 Years Experience in Major Capital Projects (Oil and Gas Industry Experience Required)
Approximately 5 Years Experience On International Projects, With At Least Two Overseas Assignments;
Approximately 5 Years Experience in a Home Office Role Responsible for Providing Project Execution Consulting and Advice to Active Projects;
Required to have Filled the Following Roles on Major Capital Projects: Project Engineer, Controls Engineer, Business (Planning & Controls) Manager.
Experience as a Project Manager is Preferred.

Minimum 5 Years Direct Work Experience In Our Clients' Industry Performing The Specified Roles / Functions
College Bachelors Degree In Engineering
Accredited College Or University / Masters & PhD's Welcome
