MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7 Years Relevant Industry Work Experience
Minimum 15 Years Left In Career
USA Citizenship or USA Permanent Resident Card Owner
MUST HAVE DETAILED FAMILIARITY WITH:
Planning, Designing and Maintaining Oil & Gas Production, Gas Treating, Pipeline, Refinery or Chemical Plant Electrical Power Distribution, Safety and Protection Systems, and Power Studies. Some FEED OR FEL experience is important.
TYPICALLY THESE FACILITIES HAVE:
Hi Voltage, Medium and Low Voltage Elements; Individual Units often involve Gas Turbine Generator Sets in the Multi-Thousand Horsepower Range Running LM2500 as well as Frame 6 and Up Units;
In Addition, the Client is arranging One or More IPP's Using Steam Generators.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with the Development, Use and Support of Electrical Power Engineering Studies using support such as ETAP or SKM or POWER SYSTEM FOR WINDOWS or Other Simulation Tools.
Practical Knowledge of State Of The Art Devices and Practices in Electrical Power Management including, For Example, GE Multilin Or Schweitzer Engineering Labs Microprocessor-Based Protective Relays.
Willingness to travel as much as 25% overnights from a Houston TX or Washington DC Area Base at Company Expense to various Plant Site, Vendor and Contractor Locations.
Willingness to discuss Relocation for as long as 1 To 3 Years every once in awhile to Domestic USA or Overseas Locations - typically Family Status by Negotiation.
Ability To Inform, Persuade and Otherwise Significantly Influence Others to Reach Conclusions as a Company Internal Consultant or Project Team Member.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plan and Design Electrical Systems for Oil & Gas Production, Gas Treating, Pipeline, Refining and Petrochemical Complexes.
Experience Should Reflect Knowledge of Overall System Approach for Power Supply, Control and Distribution of Electric Power.
Responsible for Overall Design and Evaluation of Electric Power Systems.
Develop Detailed Design Basis Documentation and System Specifications for Early Phases FEED of Project Development, Scoping and Cost Estimating.
Provide Contractor Supervision on Major Projects. Perform Detailed Analysis of Power System; use Computer Tools and Make Recommendations for System Optimizations. Provide Plant Start-Up and Operations Support For Complex Systems.
Good Background in Equipment Specification / Application and Area Classification.
Must Be A Self-Motivator and have the Ability to Work in an Unsupervised Environment.
Must be Confident in Technical Proficiency and Possess the Ability to Lead Others.
Must Be Willing To Accept Extensive Travel and Some Out-Of-Office Work Assignments. Out-Of-Office Assignments Could Be For A Few Weeks To Several Years.
