Machinery Project Engineers Needed / Baytown, TX / Beaumont, TX / Fairfax, VA / Baton Rouge, LA
With Reciprocating & / or Rotating Equipment Experience in
Oil & Gas Refining and / or Petrochemicals
Locations: Baytown, TX / Beaumont, TX / Fairfax, VA / Baton Rouge, LA
Salary: Range to $150,000 DOE / Excellent Benefits / Generous Relocation Packages
These Positions Report To The Machinery Supervisor
&/Or Facilities Mechanical Engineering Manager
Responsible for Independent Work & Contractor Oversight on Designs (Including Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, Associated Motor Drives, Turbo-Expanders etc);
Contractor Deliverables to be Reviewed may include Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDS) Equipment Arrangements & Specifications Data Sheets Vendor Proposals & Technical Studies;
Activities in which Participation may be Expected Include Design Reviews Risk Assessments HAZOPS Vendor Bid Evaluations & Readiness Reviews;
This Individual Must Be Capable of Functioning Independently on Technical Assignments with Limited Administrative Supervision;
Team Play is Also Important;
Requires Flexibility with Respect to Travel;
May Require Occasional Relocation for International Assignments.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated Experience in Design/Problem Solving for Turbomachinery in Industry Facilities Including Onshore & Offshore or Similar Experience In Related Industries Using Sizeable Turbine Generators - To Include Steam (Fossil) Minimum Is 15 Years Experience For Seniors And 7 Years For The Others;
Demonstrated Experience At The Professional Level On Major Capital Projects Minimum 5 Years Experience For The Senior Position And 3 Years For The Other Experience Should Include Both FEED & EPC Activities;
Good Verbal & Written Communications Skills (English Language) & the Ability to work As Part of a Team;
Prior Practical Experience in Operations / Maintenance of Rotating Equipment including thermography, vibration monitoring, seals etc.;
Owner / Operating Company Experience or Equivalent is Preferred But Open;
Proficient in the MS Office Suite of Software Programs & Lotus Notes.
Skill Levels:
Possesses Good Knowledge of Equipment Design Audit Requirements;
Capable of Developing Procedures for ( FATs ) Factory & Field Testing Installation Commissioning & Startup;
Capable of Developing Requirements for Operating Maintenance & Inspection Procedures;
Capable of Verifying Work is Consistent with Good Design Practices Realistic Operating Assumptions & Low Lifecycle Costs;
Capable of Developing Detailed Equipment Specifications Including Pre-Commissioning Testing & Assessing Vendor Qualifications & Quality Programs Capable of Optimizing Condition Monitoring & Preventive Maintenance To Lower Operating Costs & Improve Reliability.

Minimum 7 Years Direct Work Experience In Our Clients' Industry Performing The Specified Roles / Functions
College Bachelors Degree In Engineering
Accredited College Or University / Masters & PhD's Welcome
USA Citizenship Or USA Permanent Resident Card
