Project Design/Development, On-Site Configuration and Programming Work, FAT’s / Product Testing in Fairfax or Phoenix,
and On-Site Startup Support, etc., and Developing Methodology and Technology Standards

The Migration Projects are a first Assignment.
Candidates who have Knowledge, Experience and Skills in Honeywell's Experion PKS Control System, especially Working Migration Projects, will be Considered even if they Lack All the Skills Below.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Control Systems Hands-On Technical Design, Assessments, Development and Optimization with:
Windows 2000/2003/XP and NT Servers Workstations, and Network Equipment;
Honeywell TDC2000 Data Hiway, PMX, TDC3000 LCN, TPS, Experion PKS (specifically looking for this skill set) and Uniformance/PHD;
Honeywell Experion Technology:
Release 210 and 301;
Experion L3 Cluster Type (ESV, ESF, ACE);
Experion EHG Cluster Type (ESV, ESC, ESF, EHG, C200);
Experion TPS Cluster Type (EVT, EST, ACT);
Experion Native Cluster Type (ESV, ESC, ACE, C300);
Oracle;
IP Networks; and
other major specific application vendor products.
Maintain and Evolve a Standard Windows Network Domain Structure that is:
used by all sites;
overlayed on to vendor control systems; and
separate from, but interfaced to, the Business/General Engineering IS networks at the respective plants;
Provide Troubleshooting / Technical Guidance to sites for Configuration, Assembly, and Security Management;
this support is frequently remote, but also
can involve travel to specific sites in any given year to provide more extensive support;
Test New Vendor Product Releases for our Worldwide Customer Base, and Integrate Specific Application Products and Infrastructure Components into the Supported Standard Windows Domain Structure;
Provide Liaison Functions with our Major Process Control Product Vendors and Internal Corporate IT Group;
When needed, Provide Extensive Design and/or Startup Support for Major Process Control Systems Projects or Large Site-Specific System Upgrades or Migrations.
COMPETENT / KNOWLEDGEABLE in the FOLLOWING:
General Course Work / Experience / Philosophy of Continuous Manufacturing Operations and Automation (Specific Refinery and/or Chemical Plant Know-How a Plus);
Leadership and Communication Skills to:
Take Initiative with Engineering Peers and Site Contacts such as Engineers, operators, technicians, and others to Discover The Root Cause Of Apparent Control Or Operational Problems, Identifying when Other Experts need to be Involved in Issue Resolution;
Initiate/Promote Ideas to Continuously Improve (From Standpoint of Profitability, Reliability, and Safety) Automated Operations Of Control Systems Facilities;
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Skills to Diagnose Complex Software and Hardware Problems;
Implementing Change and Upgrades for Systems that Must Usually Remain in Control of Actual, Continuous Manufacturing Operations;
Some Experience with Computer Programming in Any Language;
Windows Networks, Administration, Security, Hardware, Desktop:
Familiar with Network Topology Concepts, Routers/Hubs/Terminal Servers;
Familiar with IP protocols (FTP, NFS, TELNET, etc); understanding of the Concepts and Administration Of Switched Ethernet and TCP-IP; Network Accounts, Groups, Security;
Familiar with Data Historians;
SKILLS:
Broad Training is Available and Provided to Each Candidate.
However having some Skills in the areas below is considered a plus:
Familiarity with Interfacing Control Systems using OPC
Process Control Systems Equipment such as
Nodes
PLC's
Operator Consoles
Other Software packages:
Oracle
Data Historians
Schedulers
DBA experience with Oracle / SQL server
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL scripts
VB (including use of ADO, RDO, DCOM ), C++, Fortran
Windows scripts
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering
Some Computer Science Preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Networking, Domain Structure, Etc. a Plus.
Minimum 10 Years Working Experience in an Oil and Gas Refining and / or Petrochemical and / or Chemical Environment.
15 Years Left In Career
