Our Client of 30 Years is seeking Process Control Instrument Engineers for Various Positions at its U.S. Gulf Coast Manufacturing Sites, Core Engineering Groups, and on Project Teams Responsible for Development and Execution of Major Grassroots Projects, and Plant Revamps and Expansions.
The Discipline of Instrument Engineering Manages The Design, Installation, and Operation of Field and Control-Room Instrumentation.

IN A MANUFACTURING SITE YOU WILL:
Be part of a team at a World-Scale Plant which Manufactures a Wide Range of Refined Oil and Gas Products and Petrochemical Products;
Apply your Instrument Engineering Skills in a Team Environment, working with Experienced Technical, Process and Maintenance Personnel, to Solve Problems involving Process Sensory, Measurement and Control, Protective, and Safety-Instrumented Systems;
Initiate, Develop, and Implement Instrument Equipment Life-Cycle Support Initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis and Re-engineering of Bad Actors, to meet Equipment Reliability and Life Expectancy Goals;
Help the Site Plan and Execute Instrument Repair and Preventive Maintenance Programs, as well as Support the Instrument effort on Plant Maintenance Turnarounds;
Apply your Technical and Project Management Skills to Initiate, Design, Install, and Commission New Process Instrumentation which are Required by Plant Projects;
Assist in the Mentoring of Less Experienced Instrument Engineers to foster their Development;
Collaborate with Your Peers at other Company Sites to Identify and Advance Common Practices.
IN CORE ENGINEERING YOU WILL:
Be a Member of a Team Providing Instrument Engineering Consultancy to Company Sites and Projects Globally;
Iidentify Common Instrument Reliability Bad Actors, and Initiate, Develop, and Effect the Roll Out of Global Instrument Reliability Improvement Programs;
Develop an Understanding of Our Manufacturing Plants' Current and Future Needs and Influence New Developments in Process Instrumentation Technology and Tools to Satisfy those Needs;
Provide Expert Review to Ongoing Major Projects to Assure that Process Instrumentation is Specified, Engineered, and Installed Consistently with Company Best Practices and Procedures;
Undertake a Significant Amount of Domestic and International Travel.
IN A PROJECT TEAM YOU WILL:
Be a Member of a Team Responsible for the Design, Development, Implementation, Commissioning, and Start-Up of the Process Measurement, Monitoring, Control and Safety Instrumented Systems for a New Plant;
Lead One or More of the Following Activities: 1) Project Front-End Planning, Cost Estimation, and Engineering of Instrumentation Systems, 2) Quality Control and Assurance of Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning, and 3) Start-Up of the Instrumentation Systems;
Be Located in the Engineering Contractor's Facilities During the Design Stage and Will Relocate to the Plant Site for Commissioning and Start-Up;
Undertake a Substantial Amount of Travel;
You must be Able to Speak and Write Concisely and Persuasively; Interact Effectively with Peers, across Organizational Lines, and in Diverse Teams; and Demonstrate Good Business Judgment, Results Orientation, Leadership, and Creativity.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Willing to Travel 10% For Plant Support Role
Willing to Travel 25% Up To 50% Both Domestic and Internationally For Major Capital Project Group Role
Requirements
Minimum 3 Years Direct Work Experience In Our Clients' Industry Performing The Specified Roles / Functions
Minimum 15 Years Left in Career Before Retirement
College Bachelors Degree In Engineering ( Electrical Engineering Preferred )
Accredited College Or University / Masters and PhD's Welcome
USA Citizenship Or USA Permanent Resident Card
