Summary:
NewLink Genetics Corp. a biopharmaceutical company in Ames Iowa, developing new therapeutic alternatives for cancer patients, is seeking an experienced Clinical DBA/Data Manager to aid in the initial setup, validation, and long-term maintenance of our internal CDMS. NewLink remains steadfast in its primary focus to take novel treatments and diagnostics through the clinical trials process and bringing products to market.
Requirements include:
Bachelor of Science degree in Life/Health Sciences or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Extensive experience with Oracle, as well as SQL, PL/SQL
Preferable experience in the clinical or pharmaceutical industries, including clinical data management
Preferable experience with R (or SAS)
Preferable experience with Clintrial CDMS
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually with minimal supervision, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Duties include:
Work with consultants and IT personnel to validate and implement Clintrial, and set up studies
Coordinate CRF development with the Director of Clinical Affairs
Manage Oracle/Clintrial activities for multiple studies
Write and program edit checks
Test and maintain databases
Hiring and supervision of additional data management personnel
Developing and enforcing Data Management SOP’s
