Description:
NewLink Genetics is a biopharmaceutical company located in Ames, Iowa. We are seeking a Research Associate to work under close supervision of the Group Leader in the Tumor Immunology Section in our Research and Development Laboratories.
The idea candidate will have some experience in mammalian cell culture. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge in one or more of the following immunologic techniques: ELISA and FACS analysis. It is desirable that the candidate has experience in human blood samples processing and culturing of human and or mouse lymphocytes. It is expected that the candidate have good organization skills and be able to work following standard operating procedures. It is also desired that the candidate have experience in laboratory documentation using notebooks. The candidate must be enthusiastic and have interest in assisting in the development of immunologic assays for cancer research. The candidate will work under supervision but also should show self-motivation to carry on small projects independently.
An AA or BS is preferred in Biology, Immunology, or pharmaceutical science related field. One or two years of previous experience as laboratory technician is desired but not required.
