Job Details:
Multiple “Quantitative Developers” sought by Nova Prospect LLC (“Nova” or “Nova Prospect”), headquartered in the United States (“U.S.”) at 1100 Brickell Bay Drive, Suite 1600, Miami, FL 33131. This would also be the location out of which the roles fully will be based permanently and long-term, as they are one-hundred percent, office-based (telecommuting from home, note, is not allowed). Positions are permanent, immediately available, job opportunities that do not require any business travel. Must live in Miami, FL or surrounding area (so as to be within a reasonable, commuting distance of corporate headquarters and the worksite address in Miami, given above). Traditional, job description, it now follows.
Contribute to systematic prop trading firm operating in quantitative finance. This represents an opportunity to join a growing team of financial professionals in the U.S. in need of quantitative development support. Development work performed is done principally using Python. These are professional-level positions in quantitative software development for financial technology applications, which roles are appropriate for new Bachelor’s graduates (see position requirements, defined below). Job duties to be performed are: perform object-oriented software design and development, using Python, in order to build a next-generation research platform, used and leveraged by Nova quantitative researchers, to perform alpha and strategy research in the quantitative finance space; architect and implement software systems, in Linux and cloud environments using Python tools, for production trading applications, portfolio management and to solve real-world problems in the financial space; collaborate cross-functionally with quantitative researchers of Nova Prospect in order to directly improve model performance and trading strategies deployed; implement machine learning techniques for predictive and statistical modeling applications; collaborate closely with other quantitative developers of Nova Prospect toward supporting the firm’s systematic trading pipeline; contribute other software work both to Linux and cloud-production environments; and generally support trading strategies applied and the Nova Prospect research platform. These, once more, are professional positions in quantitative development for financial technology, appropriate for new Bachelor’s graduates.
Toward this end, naturally, these positions are not supervisory capacities. "Quantitative Developers”, at Nova Prospect, they do not have subordinate, direct reports. Such positions fully are hands-on, individual contributors, responsible for the work described above, and reporting to Nova’s Chief Executive Officer. These roles, in short, to disclaim, they do not manage other personnel.
Full-time positions; base annual salaries of $200,000.00 per year. They require a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or related field. They also require demonstrated proficiency in the following areas, shown through appropriate baccalaureate-level coursework: (a) skill performing object-oriented software design and development, specifically using Python; (b) demonstrated ability to architect and implement software systems in Linux and cloud environments; and (c) knowledge of machine learning methods and statistical modeling techniques.
