Job Description:
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through line managers and supervisors. Develops and provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Quality Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the complete cost, technical and schedule performance of significant company programs or a major section of a large major program. Participants in the proposal and contract negotiating team. Directs all phases of programs and projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leads program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance. Leads or participates in proposal preparation, business plans proposal work statements and development of technical and administrative specifications, operating budgets and the financial terms and conditions of the contract. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product development, integration and test. Establishes milestones ands monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions such as allocation of resources or changing contract specifications. Directs the work of Stakeholders assigned to the program or project from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline from four-year college or university and ten (10) or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication and Special Skills:
Communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms. Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups. Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Skills and Work Requirements:
- Must be Customer Focused
- Knowledge of Aircraft Interior components, design and installation is highly preferred
- Self Starter, Highly organized, able to set own priorities
- Detail oriented, strong record keeping/filing
- Aggressive and assertive, able to get results
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Above average MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- MS Access & MS Project experience preferred
- Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours and weekends as required to meet customer and program needs
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Must be able to work as an effective part of a Team
- Advanced problem solver, out of the box solution provider
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Will be required to work with multiple departments
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Will need to be willing to travel domestically and internationally if/when required
- Must be able to obtain a US passport
- Must be able to obtain an AMEX credit card
- Must have financial acumen
