Great opp to use your manufacturing, quaity, & food sciences. Company needs a QSM to manage all food safety & quality system programs, including process & finished product quality, analytical testing, managing the analytical laboratory, supporting production & Sanitation Programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establish goals & objectives for the Quality department including: development and implementation of food safety, food quality and sanitation programs
  • Ensure delivery of safe, quality products with minimization of risk
  • Carry out food safety and quality assessment including validations of manufacturing processes, HACCP/FSMA Food safety plans, food quality plans, environmental, microbiological monitoring programs and finished product testing, hygiene and sanitation programs
  • Develop strategies to proactively identify potential food safety, quality and regulatory issues
  • Support the manufacturing facility in meeting food safety and quality objectives
  • Investigate and resolve escalated plant issues that include quality, priority consumer complaints, and FDA/USDA regulatory matters
  • Ensure food safety and quality individual and departmental capabilities including hiring, on-boarding, training, and other growth and developmental opportunities
  • Develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement in internal GMP, Food Safety and Quality Management systems audits
  • Effectively manage pest control environment.
QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biochemical, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or similar
  2. Minimum 10 years of hands-on management or supervisory experience in Quality and Lab area in Food or related industry
  3. Must have knowledge of HACCP, SQF, & Food Safety, hygiene & sanitation procedures, safety requirements, food manufacturing regulations (USDA, FDA), GMP

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
