Our client is one of the worlds leading manufacturer and distributer of air-cooled heat exchanger equipment used in the oil & gas, power, LNG and petrochemicals industries. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

  • As an Entry Level Welding Engineer, will work with other team members, including the Design and Quality teams to develop, manage and coordinate the implementation of sound weld programs and processes that consistently meets ASME Section VII, API 661, HPC and customer specifications.
  • Qualify, write and maintain welding procedures and specs in compliance with applicable codes
  • Investigate new and alternative processes, materials and/or equipment to reduce overhead and maintenance cost, improve efficiency and quality and reduce safety risks.
  • Work with QA department to troubleshoot wire/welding issues and assist in the implementation of company Quality Assurance program.
  • When developing programs, insure compliance and technical review of all processes and design work associated with the following:
    • Weld Maps
    • Weld Procedures
    • Mock Ups
    • Testing
    • Material Specifications
    • Heat Treatment
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Skills required:

  • BS/MS Welding Engineering (BS Minimum)
  • Recent graduated (2015-2018) preferred
  • Previous work experience, including internship, a plus but not required
  • ?Current industry knowledge associated with:
    • Weld Maps and Weld Procedures
    • ?Mock Ups
    • Testing
    • Material Specifications
    • Heat Treatment
  • Ability to work independently and closely with a diverse group of people in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
