Mechanical products including seat systems, steering wheels, airbags, and seat belts. Clients range from multiple industries; trucking, agriculture, utiility, recreational, off road.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design, develop, test and release seating products
  • Establish technical requirements documents
  • Work with model shop and suppliers to assemble prototype seats
  • Utilize DFMEAs to lead development process
  • Develop and execute test and validation plans
  • Interface with customers to qualify and release product
  • Conduct regular design reviews and peer reviews
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities
  • Manage Bill Of Materials documenting component costs
  • Work with Purchasing to identify and source suppliers
  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering to develop production processes/controls
  • Lead development team by delegating work and prioritizing tasks
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of seating product development experience
  • Knowledge of seating structure and/or soft-goods required
  • Proficient in 3D modeling preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills Six Sigma preferred
  • Proficient in GD&T and Tolerance Stack Analysis
  • Experience using DFMEAs to drive design and validation requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience as a team-lead required; supervisory experience preferred

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
