We are recruiting a Director Central Business Office for a Medical Center in Northwestern Alabama! New Hospital will open in December. However, the Central Business Office will remain off-site.

JOB DESCRIPTION

MUST HAVE FOR PROFIT HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE

We are recruiting a Director Central Business Office for a Medical Center in Northwestern Alabama! New Hospital will open in December. However, the Central Business Office will remain off-site.

Will report to the Chief Financial Officer

Position currently has an Interim Director- previous Director left to relocate closer to family.

*Coordinates designated administrative operations of the Hospital revenue cycle..

*Consults, collaborates and communicates with departmental and hospital management, and other hospital personnel, insurance representatives and attorneys to facilitate the delivery of affective and timely patient accounting services.

*Will be responsible for the daily operations for the centralized business operations-admitting, billing, collections, reimbursement, compliance, medical records, etc.

*Responsible for various operational reports and records

*Organize and coordinates the day to day operations in the Business Office

*Provides overall planning for the centralized business office operations.

*Consults, collaborates and communicates with departmental and hospital management, and other hospital personnel, insurance representatives and attorneys to facilitate the delivery of affective and timely patient accounting services.

*Communicates appropriate, accurate information to others regarding patient accounting policies/procedures, and related issues and problems, researching as necessary to ensure accuracy of information exchange.

*Frequent communication with upper level management involving complex information, first level negotiations, etc

*Directs and coordinates two or more departments through subordinate department managers.

*Works with and is fully cognizant of confidential data such as development or research projects, profit margins, hospital charges,and advanced patient information.

*Interview, orients, trains and manages managers of various areas in the patient accounting process.

*Routinely monitors the provision of service provided in the section, and takes steps to correct deficiencies, omissions and other problems.

*Participates in quality improvement activities.

* Demonstrates leadership ability.

Direct Reports include: Assistant Director and 4-6 Managers

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Accounting

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL

Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a healthcare business office setting.

Ability to supervise and direct staff.

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
