Our client is a multi-disciplined engineering firm that specializes in industrial marine projects with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineers on staff. In addition to a complete array of engineering services, they also perform topographic and hydrographic surveying, construction management, permit acquisition, facility inspections, and vapor control system design and certification. For over 40 years, their principal clients have been major oil and chemical companies, liquid, bulk, and LNG terminal companies, in addition to construction companies and port authorities. They are experts in all facets of marine terminal design for liquids, grain, other dry bulk products and general cargo.

A Civil/Structural engineer role exists at their Beaumont, Texas offices. The successful candidate will have the following education and skills:

  • BS or MS Civil or Structural Engineering degree
  • Mid to senior level civil/structural engineering experience experience in both design and project management related to the inland marine facilities (ship docks, barge docks, bulkheads, mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins, paperbacks) and other industrial facilities such as storage tanks, grain export terminals and bulk handling facilities
  • Experience in steel structure design critical
  • Knowledge of STAAD or similar structural design programs
  • PE registration preferred

This is a direct-hire position. The company will offer the successful candidate an excellent salary and excellent benefits package for themselves and their dependents. Candidates need to be local or have an interest in living in the Beaumont, TX (or commutable) area for the long-term.
