Build Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION
Weston, FL or Alpharetta, GA
Manage the current build system as well as research and propose new optimizations to improve performance, efficiency, and build quality.
Design and implement new build processes and automated deployment and testing to adhere to continuous integration and continuous delivery standards.
Create and integrate features for our platform using the latest technologies like TeamCity, Subversion, GIT, BitBucket, Bamboo, Phabricator
Work with development and infrastructure teams in an agile context as it relates to software development, including test driven development, automated testing, and pair programming.
Create and integrate features of our software as a service solution using the latest .NET & C# technologies
Leverage open source and other technologies and languages outside of the .NET framework should the need arise, and autonomously be able to make use of those decisions
Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the system
Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the engineering team
Participate in code reviews with talented software engineers and architects
Use Microsofts tools and technologies to extend and improve the functionality of our product
Setup/Configuration/Administration of Binary repositories QUALIFICATIONS
3 + years of build/release engineering experience in a Windows environment, Teamcity preferred
Knowledge and experience in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD), Automated Testing (GUI and backend), and User Acceptance Testing is highly desirable.
Strong Programming and Problem Solving skills
Ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, propose near-term and permanent solutions.
Possess a DevOps mindset when approaching tasks with automation, reliability, and repeatability in mind
Experience using automated testing frameworks like NUnit, Selenium, Jasmine, MSTest, and/or other test automation tools
Knowledge of testing techniques/methodologies and how to apply them (white box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary value, decision table)
Knowledge of design patterns and their implementation
Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban, Scrum.
Ability to quickly learn new skills, tools, language, processes
Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
