JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support day to day tooling operations.
  • Initiate problem solving and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Implement Process & Tooling projects driven through new product development, product design changes and or process improvements.
  • Gives direction on process types.
  • Defines project in regards to timing and performance costs
  • Gives direction and approval for revisions to project scope and timing
  • Evaluates project status.
    Tooling Design
  • Supports and gives direction to designers in any aspect of design process.
  • Generates purchase requisitions for approval.
  • Reviews engineering changes.
  • Tooling Build
  • Supports and gives direction to toolmakers in any aspect of tool building.
  • Generates purchase requisitions for approval.

Reviews engineering changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years stamping and or tool and die experience required, preferably in die casting
  • Experience in all areas of metal stamping including progressive, manual, and transfer dies
  • Excellent planning, project management, and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and stamping die troubleshooting skills are required
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret both product and equipment designs and drawings.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Able to work in a team based decision-making environment
  • Ability to assess product development concepts and features and develop manufacturing processes and technologies to manufacture new product innovations.
  • Ability to facilitate the introduction of new processes, interface with equipment, tooling, and material suppliers

Vocational/Technical/Diploma
