Sr Business Devellopment Manager/Natural Foods-Grocery - Client is manufacturer of specialty food category created especially for outdoor industy/athletic customer. Sold in grocery stores, organic food stores, chair stores, sporting goods stores, etc. If you`re an athletic or just like outdoor sports, and want to work in that industry, this is the position that alllows you to go there daily.
NO RELOCATION REQUIRED. WILL WORK FROM HOME OFFICE ANYWHERE ON EAST COAST OR WEST COAST. JOB DESCRIPTION
Sr. Business Manager will lead, manage and drive the Natural & Grocery Channel sales team. This individual is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals ranging in experience to their goals and objectives. The Sr. Business Manager will deliver annual revenue and trade spending targets while establishing and expanding strategic business relationships across multiple channels of business. 7-10 years of CPG Experience including Individual/Team Management and Natural Products sales background is preferred.This individual would be working accounts like Kroger, Safeway, Albertson`s, UNFI, Whole Foods, etc. Looking for someone on West or East Coast. Travel: 50-60%. QUALIFICATIONS
NO relocation: can remain in the market they would be working in. Travel would be 50-65%. No direct reports now. Must have experience with brokers (they are paid by client and who assist with sales/marketing with large grocery stores, etc.
(Note: all will have this broker experience as they are partners in the sales process to corporate customers.)
Responsibilities Include:Effectively articulate the company story, Mission and Core Values. Responsible for building and implementing annual revenue, trade spending and T&E objectives for all managed business. Supports the specific objectives of the sales plan with all key internal departments Finance, Operations and Marketing through constant communication and forecasting metrics
Makes appropriate headquarter calls to support existing partners as well as establishing new customer relationships in support of revenue and trade spending objectives. Work with Sales Team across all multiple channels of responsibility. Expert level presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Will be responsible for creating and building sales presentations for direct and broker sales teams. Develop, engage, motivate, and manage performance of direct reports and sales team. This includes arranging appropriate training and providing timely and constructive feedback. Ensure all goals and objectives for the Sales Team are being met for all channels of responsibilities. Effectively present managed business performance and updates to Executive Leadership Team. Assists in recommending new products and enhancements with existing products. Support the Director of Sales Natural/Grocery, on various sales goals and projects. Develop and create a new process for handling all deductions and check requests
Required Skills: Broker Management experience. Client has 40+ products. This person must fit in culturely with company: outdoors oriented, sports, well being, health foods, energy foods, etc. Excellent sales and negotiating skills. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills. Dependable, extroverted and diplomatic person. Exceptional work ethic. Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
