Our client is a specialty coatings manufacturer and needs a proactive Manufacturing Manager to help move the plant forward.
The Manufacturing/Finishing Manager will lead the plant finishing operations to drive continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Lead the implementation of corrective actions and process changes, and leadership and direction of hourly and salaried employees within the plant. Drive change and develop projects to improve safety, production processes, costs, margins and quality issues. This position will also provide support for strategic planning and promote employee involvement.
Manage the printing, embossing, coating, and rewind operations
Promote an unwavering commitment to safety, health and environmental compliance
Encourage employee involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
Meet demand for internal and external customers in service, production and manufacturing
Assure cost-effective processes that result in products of high quality and on time delivery
Analyze, develop, implement process changes, quality controls and corrective actions that comply with internal and external specifications, within the Quality Management System (QMS)
Assure accuracy of SAP inputs and adherence to management systems and processes
Implementation and commitment to companys core values, policies and processes;
Direct production activities to assure cost-effective operations that meet customer needs
Responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing workforce QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in Engineering prefer Chemical or Mechanical.
7 + years experience in a plant finishing, printing, embossing, coating, and rewind operations
Knowledge of printing and continuous process manufacturing
Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and coaching skills
Ability to select, develop, and motivate people to drive a results oriented culture
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to implement and drive continuous improvement
Strong environmental, safety and health background with proven improvement results
Strategic thinker understands the big picture and apply a systems approach to leading change
Lean Six Sigma and/or certified training in continuous improvement with track record of success
Working knowledge of an effective maintenance support function
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
