The Account Manager can work from his/her home office preferably located in Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, or central/western New York. A global leader in the production and distribution of metal powders is searching for an Account Manager to help drive sales and increase profitability in a technically demanding market environment. The Company produces a variety of non-ferrous powders, pastes and granules that are used in a wide range of applications and industries. This is a salaried, full-time direct-hire position, with bonus potential, 401-K, monthly car allowance, and excellent benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Acccount Manager will help fuel the growth of the Company by reguarly visiting customers to gather market intelligence, reliably prepare forecasts, predict upcoming requirements, monitor solicitations for bids, negotiate pricing and contracts, and improve market share. The Account Manager will help drive sales and increase profitability. Travel domestically in Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and central/Western New York. QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will require a 4-year Bachelor`s degree in a Science or Engineering. One - 3 years` experience in sales and marketing in a technical or engineering environment, with an Industrial background. Prefer a metals background, however is not required. The role is targeted for a self-starter who can work independently, is strongly motivated for personal advancement, and has the leadership skills to progressively assume broader responsibilities at a higher level in the organization. This challenging and rewarding position will require significant travel to domestic customers and end user locations. The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Capable of multi-tasking. Has high energy, self-motivated and responsible. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. A Deal Closer. Proficient in creating effective detailed reports and sales documents, develop and populate spreadsheets, and prepare professional presentations for both internal and external audiences. Willingness to travel to domestic customers and end user locations with total travel greater than 70%.
