The company is undergoing tremendous growth and is looking for highly motivated and engaged problem solvers.

Work is in-office (downtown Salt Lake City on TRAX) Monday-Thursdays; Fridays remote.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Senior Brand Manager health and wellness category: retail space.

Focus on Innovation and Trends will be responsible for collaborating across key functional areas (Marketing, Innovation, Sales, Finance, Operations, and others) to help manage and lead the strategic New Product Innovation pipeline from conceptualization through approval/validation and ultimately commercialization in order to strengthen innovation capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach, display technical product knowledge proficiency, and have experience in the health and wellness industry to drive innovation through consumer insights, R&D, data, etc. This person will also be responsible for trends and competitor analysis to maintain a pulse on relevant current events within the space and to keep the company informed in their strategic decision-making. In essence, this role is one of the most dynamic - and critical - in the organization: with equal emphasis on project management, communication, and technical product proficiency, it will serve as a bridge between departments across multiple teams and brands. Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as Marketing, Innovation, Sales, Finance, Operations, and others, to define and develop Innovation deliverables from ideation to launch
  • Serve as gatekeeper for critical trends and competitor analyses
  • Manage the Innovation Insights processes, from category research through to concept and product validation with consumers and provide Marketing and Sales with insights on product key differentiators and messages in order to maximize distribution and sales
  • Translates business/brand strategy into innovation and product strategy through the management of pricing, margin, product positioning, on-pack promotions and assortment, and the development, lifecycle and execution of a new product pipeline
  • Manage product and packaging innovations through gate development process, including opportunity identification, concept development, product and packaging creation, feasibility validation, financial viability, commercial validation and launch planning
  • Monitors product performance including sales data, consumer and customer feedback, COGS, margin and sales, and recommends plans to optimize
  • Identifies gaps in the portfolio and recommend plans to fill these gaps and improve performance of focus SKUs

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Master of Business Administration degree (MBA)
  • Minimum 5 years consumer brand packaged goods marketing experience
  • Ability to balance thinking strategically with diving deep into details and executing projects
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margin, ACV, etc. and familiarity with managing all lines of P&L
  • Exceptional oral and written communicator capable of explaining complex and/or abstract ideas in clear and succinct terms for senior management, trade customers, and consumers
  • Creative and analytical skills are required to identify a need and to create and manage consumer products
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals to effectively present information
  • Self-motivated, positive, and passionate
  • Quick turnaround and tenacity are important, along with the ability to proactively problem solve and work cooperatively with others
  • Strong experience using MS Office Suite including, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
