WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?

We have recruited for this credit card issuer since about 2001. They are profitable and have a very stable and very impressive leadership. They are a publicly traded holding company based in Atlanta Georgia. The total FTE are under 300, and there is no room on staff for executives who site behind closed doors in corner offices. Every person needs to be able and willing to be in the weeds. Their stock has tripled in value in under 3 years. (I know, because I own some). They move FAST.

We need financial services background, lending or credit card. Fintech is great. Cardholder (borrower) engagement, retention, activation, usage, loyalty, and acquisitions are key for this role.

They are willing to consider employees who are 100% remote. However, there will be times when the VP Marketing will be wanted on site and that shouldn`t be delayed by a day or two for travel. Any travel hub or metropolitan area will be fine.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is looking for a Vice President to lead and support the marketing strategy for the Private Label credit card and point of sale lending clients. The VP will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to drive credit card acquisition and ongoing cardholder engagement to drive client credit sales volume.

This role, preferably based in Atlanta, GA, will work internally across functions, including Sales, Client Development, Legal and Compliance, and Risk as well as directly with the Client marketing teams to set individual marketing plans for each respective program. Given the various audiences engaged, it is critical that this individual is skilled at communicating across departments and levels. This role will report to the Head of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner, both with internal and client teams, to lead, develop, implement, and monitor client marketing strategies designed to drive acquisition and cardholder engagement.
  • Establish and develop key relationships at senior levels of the client organizations.
  • Understand and incorporate the client`s key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve set objectives.
  • Ensure product value propositions are integrated into creative strategies and customers experiences with cohesive and completing brand narratives. Will act as a brand steward for both that of the client and Fortiva Retail Credit.
  • Optimize marketing spend to meet growth goals.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred.
  • Six to ten years of experience in Marketing and retail bank/financial service industry, credit card experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
  • Highly effective communication and storytelling skills with outstanding writing and presentation abilities to influence cross-functional teams within a large organization and all levels of leadership
  • Proficiency with analyzing marketing and customer behavior metrics to understand the current experience, unmet needs, and growth marketing opportunities.
  • Relationship management experience and a passion for purpose driven brands
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
