This is an opportunity to join SAP Global Operations team - SAP Global Ops teams vision is to provide a reliable and state of the art SAP landscape. SAP Applications support many important Business functions such as Sales & Marketing, Order Management, Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, Service and Call centers. SAP Global Ops team manages several Business applications (ECC, CRM, SCM, GTS, MES, S4HANA, S4C, Salesforce and others), ensuring Security and compliance of entire landscape, and develops minor solution enhancements. Team is distributed at several locations across the world for effective coverage.

As a member of SAP Basis team, you will be responsible for the support of all SAP systems (ECC, CRM, SCM, MES, GTS, S4HANA, S4C, BW and Solution Manager) and several bolt-on applications. Your key activities will include tiered support, incident management, analysis, troubleshooting, oversight and guidance to partner BASIS team, and drive stewardship initiatives (e.g. Archiving, SAP Upgrade etc).


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of all SAP environments.
  • Perform SAP software installation, upgrades, applying support packages, system copies/refreshes and installation of add-on software components.
  • Lead team on resolution of critical incidents.
  • Work with OS & DB Administrators to optimize SAP Application and Database performance.
  • Provide Support and Guidance, to Project teams during build, test and production GoLive.
  • Provide support for Disaster Recovery and localized HA testing based on the mandated policies.
  • Provide all aspects of technical support for SAP Basis Administration in proactive and reactive modes, to ensure that SAP systems perform at optimized level to meet or exceed SLAs.
  • Analyze daily system health checks across all SAP landscapes and provide various proactive measures to reduce any Audit or security breaches including availability of SAP Applications.
  • Perform SAP Early watch analysis and implement solutions or corrections as per SAP guidelines.

  • Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study
  • 8+ years experience in SAP BASIS administration with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance and implementation projects.
  • 2+ years experience with Unix platforms (AIX 7.x preferred) and ORACLE (11g preferred)
  • Experience of working in large and complex SAP landscapes.
  • Strong trouble shooting, performance analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of C4C cloud, CPI Integration, S/4 HANA platforms preferred
  • Experience managing teams (4-10 persons or more).
  • Self-starter, naturally inquisitive must be willing and interested in learning new things (keep ahead, not just up with things)
  • Ability to solve unstructured problems; review symptoms, analyze all aspects of the issue, understand pros and cons of different solution approaches; offer counsel and advice for supportability.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Good communication skills (Written, Verbal, and Presentation) with ability to sell concepts and ideas. Must be a good team player.
