JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to growth, we are adding an RF Engineer to our staff that will specialize in the design, integration, verification, and production of RF / Microwave subsystems for military platforms. The candidate will work in the product development team environment with system and software engineers to develop associated RF sensing architectures, perform electrical design and analysis, implement design solutions, perform simulations and model EW subsystems. You will also support the performance, testing, and data/effectiveness evaluations of associated hardware in a laboratory, anechoic chamber or test range setting.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Design and development of Electronic sensing products & RF signature measurement subsystems derived from system level requirements

Generate subsystem requirements documents and specifications.

- A Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math with a preference for MS or PhD level coursework and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience.

This is a full-time position M-F which requires on-site work at our office in Southpoint.

Due to our work with government contracts, all employees are US citizens and must be able to pass a thorough background screening. This position may require occasional yet minimal business-related travel as well.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years Electrical Engineering experience in the Design, Development and Implementation of RF / Microwave electronic systems

Design and development of RF / Microwave electronic sub-systems including simulation techniques, testing and production support

Demonstrated technical communication: Experience with system/sub-system level block diagrams, technical writing, and supporting design review packages for complex electronics

Experience with block diagrams, parts list generation and design review packages for complex electronics

Hands-on experience in testing of electronic products using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, waveform generators, and debugging tools

Experience with RF and Microwave design tools such as ADS, Genesys, HFSS, FEKO and MATLAB

Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment

Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills

A deep desire to learn and engage in complex system design that connects imagination with reality

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of employment.

DESIREDED ATTRIBUTES:

Experience developing defense related RF / Microwave electronic systems

Experience with FPGAs and signal processing

MATLAB Experience

C or C++ experience would be considered a benefit

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RF projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
