JOB SUMMARY The Configuration Analyst III is responsible for capturing and maintaining the integrity of enterprise-wide work products. The incumbent ensures the configuration management of our products is planned, monitored, controlled and distributed to achieve project and organizational objectives while abiding by industry and military standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Document and track all aspects of hardware and software development and modification to create and document baselines; responsible for structuring and maintaining all necessary drawings, documents, software files, and bills of material in the ERP system and other databases
- Structure and maintain all drawings, documents, software files, and bills of material in the ERP system and other databases
- Verify authorization and effect on deliverables, and incorporates all changes.
- Review and analyze all configuration item documentation including procurement and production drawings, technical documentation, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO), to determine configuration and changes are accurately captured, identify the effect on deliverable product, and conform to standards.
- Prepare for and participate in a variety of program meetings and customer meetings as required.
- Participate in internal and external configuration audits to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
- Perform both configuration and data management, ensuring adherence to configuration management procedures and policies, as well as contractual requirements.
- Acquire, document, monitor, provide access to, distribute, and communicate the status of technical, programmatic and administrative information in support of Engineering and across company functions and customers
- Work with R&D and Manufacturing Teams to develop and maintain product baseline configurations
- Ensure CM processes and procedures are properly documented and CM compliant
- Provide periodic updates (including formal status reporting and other CM reports) to project management the status of CM and change management activities
- Organize and control project documentation, creating and maintaining a directory structure
- Record, review, analyze and report on Configuration Item (CI) documentation
- Maintain Configuration Management database
- Create and maintain configuration management plans and procedures
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews to implement and impose configuration management practices
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY N/A EDUCATION Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience EXPERIENCE Minimum 6 years of relevant experience QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS - Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance.
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple program requirements while meeting often-wavering deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Demonstrated proficiency with configuration and data management
- Advanced understanding and application of configuration management concepts and practices
- Experience with ANSI/EIA-649 Configuration Management Standard
