JOB DESCRIPTION

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a major Pivot Irrigation company seeking a Territory Sales Manager to cover Midwestern to Northeastern U.S. Ideal individual will be an energetic, hands-on sales representative with good technical knowledge regarding pivot irrigation equipment. Primary responsibility will be selling irrigation pivots and parts directly from the manufacturer to the Dealer/Distributors within territory. Other duties to include:

- Identifying/Signing on new Dealer/Distributors
- Maintaining monthly communication with Dealer/Distributors through personal visits or by phone
- Providing Dealer Training and solving customer issues
- Assuring Dealer/Distributor and end-user satisfaction
- Demonstrating competence with regard to company designated sales and design programs
- Demonstrating computer proficiency with Microsoft Office progams
- Demonstrating product, operating and troubleshooting knowledge in an acceptable manner
- Remaining constantly aware of competitive products and sales strategy changes and keeping National Sales Manager advised
- Assisting with or conducting product shows or special marketing events
- Attending/Particpating in company sales meetings or dealer meetings
- Timely submission of paperwork to National Sales Manager

MUST have Farm background and experience with irrigation pivots and a high aptitude for computer and equipment technology and exceptional communication and customer service skills. This Sales Representative will report directly to the National Sales Manager.

THIS EMPLOYER OFFERS ABOVE-AVERAGE BASE SALARY PLUS REALISTIC ANNUAL COMMISSIONS OF $30-50,000 PLUS EXCELLENT FRINGE BENEFITS INCLUDING VEHICLE.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 2- or 4-year degree in AgBusiness or other Ag-related degree; will also consider 5 or more years Ag industry experience
- Farm/Ag background with strong mechanical aptitude and experience with center pivot equipment
- Strong computer and equipment technology knowledge/understanding
- Ability to develop / maintain a strong dealer / distributor network
- Self-directed; performance-based focus and exceptional sales skills with strong ability to negotiate and close the sale
- Time management and territory management skills
- Clean driving record with ability to travel up to 75%
- Currently living within Northern IL, Northern IN or Southern MI a REAL PLUS

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
