--- Provide solutions to recurring maintenance problems by analyzing delays and failure analyses for power distribution, controls, and instrumentation systems for plant site. QUALIFICATIONS
--- Engineering support for Maintenance department in performing preventive/predictive maintenance and repair activities for critical plant equipment.
--- Implementation of technical improvements and the application of spare parts and materials to extend life and prevent equipment deterioration. Assist in the planning, budgeting, maintenance and implementation of turnarounds and major engineering projects supporting capital projects.
--- Designs, starts, and monitors preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for the major electrical and instrument equipment in the mining area.
--- Identify and interface with preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants
--- Develop and maintain job plans for specific repair activities and support site planners and foremen as required.
--- Develop, maintain and update maintenance documentation (e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for critical plant equipment.
--- Participation on the quality teams.
--- Assist Predictive Maintenance Technicians with analyzing and condition monitoring data interpretation, recommend actions based on these analyses.
--- Provide the first line of technical support to maintenance foremen and operating personnel for issues related to stationary and rotating equipment maintenance and reliability
--- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
--- Confirms system and component capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
--- Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
--- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
--- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
--- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
--- Maintains product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
--- Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
--- Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for presentation of complex technical issues, alternatives, and recommendations to management.
--- Provide technical assistance and training to area of personnel. Perform work quality audits of hourly employees executing maintenance activities.
--- BS Electrical Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial chemical, pulp & paper, or related plant environments with prior responsibilities in power distribution, control, and instrumentation.
--- PE-Professional Engineer technical certification preferred.
--- Knowledge and experience in the troubleshooting of large rotating equipment, motor controls, and programmable logic controllers. Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulation and the National Electric Code.
--- Knowledge of project management: Planning, scheduling, and control. Knowledge of department budgeting, cost control and long range planning processes are necessary.
--- Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, Lotus Notes and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
--- Must provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
