WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?

Our client, a worldwide supplier to the automotive industry, is seeking a highly analytical and organized Process Engineer to manage production equipment and production line launch activities at their Troy, Michigan facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, the Process Engineer will actively guide activities and resources necessary to deliver flawless program launches and develop plant systems and procedures necessary to quickly develop validated products that are consistent with strategic initiatives. You will work with program management team members to meet program timing, develop and define production plans and processes, and train and support employees to ensure targets are met. You will also work to reduce scrap and improve efficiencies and will develop and complete continuous improvement projects to meet cost savings targets. Dynamic communication skills are required to develop and write manuals and reports as well as confer with management, engineering, and other staff; to assist in training supervisors, leads, operators, and maintenance staff in the safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling; and to confer with management, engineering and other staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field
Must have experience in plastic molding and assembly
Must have experience in C.A.D.
Must have knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including GD&T
Must have working knowledge of QS900, ISO14001, and TS16949 standards (as applicable to the position)
Must be able to work overtime as needed
Highly computer literate, including intermediate-advanced MS Office skills
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary
Fluent in English. Working proficiency in Spanish, Japanese, and/or German a definite asset

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
