They are seeking a permanent Focus Improvements Leader with plant experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemical plant or refinery environment to lead these initiatives across the US enterprise.
This position is responsible for leading the Focused Improvements Program and supporting Business Improvements initiatives. The Focused Improvements Program is a systematic means of identifying and prioritizing opportunities within the Industrial area and initiating projects to capture the significant opportunities.
This position will be responsible to:
Train and develop Team Members on Six Sigma / DMAIC methodology and statistical tools. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Team Members working on Improvements projects.
Support Six Sigma Project Leaders with project charter development, evaluation and financial validation through regular meetings and mentoring. Assess project progress for Leaders.
Review and assess project submissions for Belt Certifications.
Develop and lead Six Sigma recognition program.
Lead cross-functional Six Sigma projects with high customer and dollar impact.
Lead business process redesign projects by training participants, developing / validating team charter, facilitating meetings and provoking new thought processes. Ensures process changes are sustainable by ensuring appropriate documentation and training is developed and communicated.
Support Site Leader on Project Reviews / Champion Review Meetings QUALIFICATIONS
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or MBA.
10 years of working related experience.
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certification or Green Belt Certification with desire to become Black Belt Certified.
Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues from all areas, including engineering, manufacturing, commercial, supply chain, finance, information technology and members of the leadership team.
Must have good analysis skills, effective communication skills, the ability to interact well with others, and the ability to provide information to senior management in a concise format.
Advanced facilitation skills.
Strong Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Visio skills.
Strong knowledge of statistical software, e.g., Minitab, JMP.
Plant experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemical plant or refinery environment
Experience in commercial or supply chain role
Experience leading improvement projects in a manufacturing / production process
Experience in Product Development Projects (DFSS / DOE)
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
