Our client company located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia specializes in legal and administrative management of bankrupt accounts using sophisticated technology. The firm`s staff of over 175 employees includes a dynamic group of experienced attorneys and leaders recognized throughout the industry as experts in bankruptcy servicing.
They are seeking to hire a permanent experienced SQL Server DBA to be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. JOB DESCRIPTION
You will install and configure new SQL Servers. Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors. When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes. Document the company`s database environment.
Performance monitoring, tuning and capacity planning of core Oracle databases. QUALIFICATIONS
Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
Provide leadership and planning for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing of the Oracle databases.
Implement and enforce security for all of the Oracle databases, including encryption and auditing.
Perform database reorganizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the databases.
Provide technical support to application services teams on matters related to the Oracle databases.
Enforce and maintain database constraints to ensure integrity of the databases.
Troubleshoots problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
Create new database users as required.
Fully document work and validate documentation provided by the other Enterprise Systems Admin team members.
:US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Ba/BA Degree preferred
- Microsoft Certification Preferred
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005+
- Minimum of five years of experience with the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems,
- Knowledge of Window server platforms (2008, 2012, and 2016).
- Knowledge of system and network monitoring tools a must
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and people skills
- Experience working in a law firm strongly preferred
University - Associate`s Degree/Graduate Diploma/2 Years
