Title: Director - IT Enterprise Applications and Services

The Director of IT Enterprise Applications and Services has responsibility for working across all units, sites and partners, to develop and implement IT capabilities that support the objectives of the Company. This position is responsible for working with the Company leaders to align technology acquisitions and enhancements with business objectives and strategies. Is responsible for operational support using industry best practices. Will help lead the operational use of governance that will deliver value to Company. Will be responsible for application portfolio, risk, and service management.

The four primary duties of this position are:

(1) to work with the CIO, the other IT Directors and leaders and stakeholders to develop information technology strategies, long term goals and roadmaps consistent with the business objectives;

(2) to align and implement enterprise applications and support services across the Company, where appropriate; and develop and maintain an enterprise security program to mitigate risk and ensure HIPAA Security compliance;

(3) to ensure that each major system is being supported and maintained in a way that the Company is maximizing its capability; and

(4) develop and maintain partnerships and relationships with leaders and key stakeholders as it relates to information technology and business initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops and Facilitates Effective IT Planning and Governance - Works with the CIO, IT Directors and Leaders to develop long term strategies, plans and roadmaps for the Company systems. Serve as a member of Senior IT Leadership to help ensure alignment, standards, operational and strategic direction, and industry best practice.
  • Works with the CIO and IT Directors: - Develop work plans defining tasks, target dates, level of efforts, resources required, skills required, etc.
  • Establishes and Ensures Team and Individual Accountability: - Sets clear defined written performance standards and expectations for self and Team members.
  • Monitors and Communicates Status: - Tracks, reviews and communicates status of projects related to systems.
  • Promotes teamwork and collaboration - Facilitates group learning and problem solving.
  • Focus on Recruiting and Retention Initiative - Define the skills needed for the areas of accountabilities, direct reports, and teams.
  • Manage projects through the following critical responsibilities - Work with CIO to develop and ensure compliance with corporate standards and IT methodologies used for technology selection, implementation, upgrades, service pack releases, support and maintenance, etc.
  • Role model the importance of knowledge sharing and continuous learning through the following critical responsibilities - On a personal level: Keep abreast of new developments and trends in healthcare information technology in order to make recommendations to the CIO and IT Directors.


  • Masters degree preferred.
