Our client seeks a Bi-lingual Reinsurance Accounting Supervisor.
Under the direction of the Reinsurance Accounting Manager, this person will support the teams development by reviewing and analyzing accounting issues, communicating feedback to team members, sharing knowledge, reviewing entries, resolving questions and providing recommendations.
He/she be responsible for their own accounts and will monitor the timely application of cash receipts and disbursements to the reinsurance system.
The Supervisor is responsible for reviewing payment requests for the department, maintaining consistency with month and year end closing processes and procedures by reviewing investigating and documenting all reconciliations, ensure accurate and timely delivery of Schedule F and other related annual statement exhibits and adhere to SOX processes and participate in SOX and financial audits.
Assist with special projects including participating in system implementation initiatives ensuring completeness of reinsurance business requirements, comprehensive user acceptance testing and fulfillment of deliverables in accordance with project timelines. QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a complex understanding of all aspects of reinsurance accounting including all types of reinsurance treaties and associated accounting implications, the ability to make sound judgments independently while knowing when to bring situations to the attention of Management, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize and effectively meet deadlines.
Outstanding written and oral skills in Spanish and English for communications with clients, team members and colleagues throughout the organization.
Bachelors degree or ten years related experience.
5+ years of reinsurance accounting experience
Spanish speaking ability
Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills, in addition to experience and knowledge of RSG insurance system or SICS a plus.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems related to the activity of the cash unit.

University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
