Due to tremendous growth they have an opening for a Manager Reliability Electrical. This position will report to the Reliability Services Senior Manager and will reside in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Major Responsibilities

In support of plant operations and maintenance organizations, and within their specific discipline, this position will be accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of:

  • Electrical Reliability engineering expertise by providing technical expertise, either personally or via resources within their control
  • Reliability Engineering Services by ensuring that all of the work processes which involve reliability Engineering are adequately manned, supported, and managed
  • Preventive and Condition Monitoring Services by providing programs, tools, trained people, and well managed services
  • Effective and Efficient strategies to maximize the reliability while minimizing the life cycle costs for the classes of assets in their discipline


Additionally, the Manager Reliability Electrical will be accountable for proactively:

  • Developing and deploying best practices in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring
  • Systematically evaluating new technology and new ideas to continuously improve the plants asset reliability and cost of ownership
  • Collaborating and driving the development and maintenance of systems and programs to support Maintenance quality, efficiency, safety and cost improvement efforts
  • Providing technical research, analysis and documentation for the development and coordination of Maintenance programs directed toward equipment reliability, safety and predictability
  • Developing methods and providing oversight for Training and KPI administration in their area of discipline


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development and oversight of Training for Maintenance Craft and specialist technicians in close coordination with their management
  • Works with planners in development and maintenance of Key Process Indicators for the Facilities & Maintenance Department. Provide training to Craft, Supervisors, Coordinators and Contractors in KPI use
  • Directly supervises Reliability Engineers and technical specialists
  • Provides managerial oversight of direct reports responsible for the delivery of inspection, condition monitoring, and specialized Preventive services
  • Provides direction, leadership, coaching, and training to direct reports
  • Establishes statistically sound, efficient and comprehensive maintenance reliability tracking systems for critical assets and components within their discipline using the SAP, Meridium, and other sources of data and analysis tools
  • Identify and maintain key performance metrics for their areas of responsibility
  • Works with area and maintenance management to assure that teams identify, evaluate, and implement reliability improvement opportunities through changes to procedures, specifications, and equipment upgrades
  • Provides reliability engineering support for design reviews, construction, operability, maintainability and standards
  • Provide leadership and tracking for the use of RCA and other loss elimination tools, ensuring that common cause failures are identified and eliminated systematically
  • Provides technology leadership for new or improved preventive and predictive maintenance capabilities
  • Provides documented feedback on the successes and failures of the PM and PdM programs ensuring that the programs are operated efficiently and cost effectively and are fully effective in obtaining the intended business results
  • Analyzes / oversees analysis of equipment history and other data to identify reliability improvement
  • Lead life cycle cost analysis use for equipment selection, maintenance, and investment decisions
  • Shares best practices results from within and external to the site
  • Maintains reliability software for use by PdM technicians
  • Increase the use of quantitative measurement techniques where possible
  • Manages resources to maintain budget for area of responsibility. Provides cost and availability input for the creation of budgets
QUALIFICATIONS


Experience and/or Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent non degreed proficiency as demonstrated by documented experience and training, certifications
  • 15 + years of professional level experience in process or petrochemical industries at least 5 of which have been in a maintenance or reliability engineering position
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, experienced in use of CMMS systems (SAP preferred), competent in the use of specialized software applicable to their discipline
  • Previous supervisory related experience at some level is required. Strong candidates who have evidence of acceptable leadership and management development training in lieu of supervisory experience may be considered (internal candidates only)
  • The successful candidate will be technically competent within a specific discipline, capable of developing into an effective leader and manager, system and processes oriented and driven to constantly improve
